Mini sessions part 3 – Utah county family photographer
October 15, 2011Mini sessions part 2 – Utah county family photographer
October 14, 2011Okay here we are with part two of my fun mini sessions! This one was a breeze and probably one of my faves! This is Dave, my former brother in law who is now engaged to my cousin in law (don’t ask LOL). Their adorable families make up this one beautiful family! I’m so happy to have been able to get to know Sarah and her kids more and aren’t they cuties?!
Mini sessions part 1 – Utah county family and child photographer
October 14, 2011So you know how we like to get that “one” family picture every year that shows how our family is growing so we can compare it to “last years” photo and update our walls with the new one?! Well, I like to anyways LOL and I thought I’d offer to do mini sessions for my close friends/family who wanted to get that “one” picture. So last week I did 7 mini sessions! This is part 1!! It was a lot of fun, but boy were my feet and neck hurting by the end of the night. Does that mean I’m getting old or just out of shape?!
This is my good friend, Susan, and her cute little family!
Old friend l Utah family photographer
November 13, 2010Trichelle is one of my oldest friends. We went to elementary school together, grew up good friends and have kept in touch since I moved away from her in 9th grade. I’ve taken pictures of her little girl many times, shot her wedding when her little guy was just…well…a little guy and was excited that I got to see her again and take pictures of her and her two kiddos. We had quite the interesting day! I showed up and of course her and her kids looked awesome! She’s always had such style that I just couldn’t pull off! She warned me that her 2 yr old was a little stinker, but what 2 yr old isn’t right? So we head off for pictures, he’s doing the “I don’t want to take pictures” thing by throwing fits. That’s normal. I, and I know this is bad, was just laughing because I’ve BEEN there with my own kids and I KNOW how frustrating it is when you get all ready for pictures and then your kids are little stinkers! Well, we keep trying and he keeps throwing fits and breaks out into this 30 minute, rolling on the ground, screaming and kicking tantrum (see below. T wanted to document the huge fit and the picture doesn’t do it justice ha ha). I’m feeling really bad for my sweet friend…she’s on the phone with her mom trying to figure out what to do, while I’m up taking pictures of her daughter. Well, her mom, who is the SWEETEST mom in the world volunteers to drive 40+ minutes to come help out! T, the kids and I head to lunch while we’re waiting for her mom to come and are happily surprised when both her mom AND dad come to help out! So…we head back to the place we are taking pictures and T’s dad is just the funnest thing alive. He’s gets T’s little guy to just roll with laughter by…you’ll never guess…having him throw a big rock at us (I got hit twice)! It was the funnest thing and I WISH I could have gotten a picture of T’s dad while he was doing it! Man he has the energy of a child (can you share that with me L??). So, in the end, we were able to get some cute pictures and “cute little fit throwing guy” had a fun time! Thanks for coming out Trichelle! I had a fun time and it’s always so good to see you, your kids and your mom and dad!
lil’ cuties l Utah county child photographer
October 12, 2010these cuties were the winners of my Facebook contest for a free session. They came all ready for pictures, but if you have or know a 2 yr old, you know their attention spans are about 3 seconds. She was so cute…she kept running up to me and wanting to sit on my leg, but the second it was time for pictures, she wanted nothing to do with it. This is quite expected with that age, so trying to get the three of them together was fun. I’m sure mom was secretly having an anxiety attack as I sat back and giggled at the cuties. I do have to admit that I was nervous to open the pictures, but I think we got some really CUTE ones!
I just HAD to add this last one. It’s sooo cute and so how a big chunk of the session went. Brother didn’t want to hear sister cry, big sister had been waiting so patiently while little brother and sister were crying. Brother looked back at sister crying and their faces are just so cute!
GORGEOUS family l Utah county family photographer
July 29, 2010Last night I got the chance to photograph a GORGEOUS family! when Brittany, of Love Stitched, asked me if I wanted to take her families pictures, I was stoked because…well look at them!! They are gorgeous, but not only that, they are a really nice family. The boys were so well behaved and the cutie in the gray shirt was so funny dancing around and being silly. I really had a fun time!

All MINE!!
June 30, 2010I got the chance (after much bribing) to have little session with my kids! I went with the expectation that I was going to be very stressed out because the history of my kids sitting nicely for pictures isn’t great! I wasn’t really in the mood for pictures, but I thought “ah, I guess we can do them today”, so I started the “bribing” process early in the day and surprisingly enough, all day the kids were nice to each other and even kept asking to go take pictures!! I found (well, not found more so just drove by) this field the other day on our way home to our new house. It’s less than a minute away and it worked out perfectly! I can’t wait to blow these up HUGE!
