I started playing around with photography when I was young and had a $200 camera. I told my husband back in 2010 I wanted a nice camera and we spent most of what we had to get me a nice camera so I could try to become a photographer, my dream job. I do some photography in this area, but it’s a tough market. There are so many amazing photographers around here with much more experience than I have. I rarely feel like people take me seriously. I took down my website a couple weeks ago after my own family wouldn’t use me as their photographer for photos – the biggest slap in the face of this whole process for me! I would totally treasure being able to learn anything that I can and show everyone that I can get better. I plan to move in the future and want to rock a new town with some kick butt talent. I haven’t been able to go to a workshop since I began & it would mean more to me than I have words to say!! To be able to get some good experience and teaching under me and move forward instead of standing still. I want to attend because my dad is on life support and my mom and little sister have a mountain to climb to get past this. Winning this would mean bringing my photography to another level and I could share this with my mom who I’ve been working into my assistant (she’s so good!) Gotta bring it up a notch to finally make this a full time career to help make up for all we’re about to lose. .

This has been on my wish list since they announced their workshop. I have been following Jean’s work for years and more recently Travis’. Jean inspires me with every new session she posts. I have never been to a workshop before and this is one that I have been waiting for- my husband didn’t get the hint to get me this for Christmas!
